I just got a magnum 350 delux as a late xmas gift, but I am worried that it will too powerful for my 20L tank. I have two small musk turtles in it. One is a little under three inches and the other is under an inch from head to tail. I plan on getting them a much larger tank when I move out of my dorm in May. What size tank would work for to musk turtles for the rest of their life?

The more filtration, the merrier. You can never have too much filtration on turtles, and since you will be upgrading your tank (like ya said), its perfect. However, i'm not too familiar with Magnums and how they are equipped so I'll have to let other members answer on that one.
As for the size tank, since you don't want to upgrade anymore, try getting the BIGGEST you can get. Since Musk Turtles are smaller then RES, I think two of them would do fine in a 75 gallon tank. ;D

Thanks for the reply. I think I will get the 75 gallon. That is what everyone seems to think would be best. I was thinking 55, but a 75 isn't much bigger length wise, so it's not a big deal. I am saving to buy a really good tank for my turtles. Eventually I want to give them a pond, after I get out of school, which is going to be a while, because after this I am going to vet school. Is it too cold in Colarado for a turtle pond? That is where I am going to vet school, and I know it is much colder there than Arizona. ;D
