I need to do something with this Turtle and Fast.Nobody has any advice.I need to know if I'm allowed to ship this turtle to a rescue or what.Does anybody know if there is a rescue near Saint Joseph, Missouri?I've had the turtle for 5 years since he was a baby.I don't know if anyone wants the turtle because he was wild caught. My mom is pressuring me to let the turtle go.I need some fast help.I don't know if he will survive in the wild on his own since he has never hibernated or caught his own food besides fish in his tank?I would greatly appreciate any and all help, Thanks

Whatever you do, don`t release him! You`re right, after 5 years in captivity, he wouldn`t do very well in the wild. I`m afraid I don`t know of any rescues out that way. try www.petfinder.com and enter your zip to see if there is any. Shipping shouldn`t be a problem though. I`m sure there`s plenty of people in here that would help you out. Try www.madewellgardens.comGood luck

if there no pet rescue in ur area u can always try a exotic pet shop and just tell them about the turtle and try to sell it to them. good luck and dont release it!
