Hi, I'm tryin to figure out what kind of filter i should get for my tank. I wanna get an aquaclear 300 or 500 , but im wondering if ,since ther is an 7inch gap for air and to make sure the turtle doesnt get out , the thing that sucks up the water would work. If you know it would be a great help , i included som pics of my tank to help so go to my link and real quick there are currently no turtes in the tank since im currently setting it up.THANKS!!!PLEASE HELP!!! www.geocities.com/mcfat_we_be/mytnks.html?1060745620578

i dont think an aquaclear would work with that water level. i have 2 in a 55g tank, and i have to keep the tank over 3/4 full for them to work. i had the same problem with 1 300 alone. if u raise the level it shoud work. and keep ur water really clean,

I find that Rio filters work the best, but Aquaclear submersables also work quite well..
