I have a Fluval 304 & I cleaned it out. When I went to start it up again the motor just kept running & no water was pumping to get it going. I tried priming it over & over & it still does not work. Please Help!

not to sure upon what you mean... but if you cleaned it out, and put it back, if the tubes dont have any water in them, the fluval will still run dry and wont put anything even if the canister has water in it, thing you can do, and anyone else who has the anoyance of starting a fluval up next time you clean it, fill the canister AND the tubes up with water (make sure the tubes are connected to the canister duh ) and take the entire unit to the tank, then quickly put the tubes in the water, prime it a couple times and plug it in, easiest way to start one up i'd say

this is a desperate measure, but it works. Start a siphon by sucking on the part of the hose unit that plugs into unit. You have to open the valve. Just get the water to drop below the level of the tank and close the valve quickly and replace it into the canister. Let the canister fill up. Start it.
