i just got two little softshelled turtle's i rescued them from a girl who didn't take care of them very well. she never changed the water so her mom gave them to me. how can i tell if they are healthy? i think they are in the smooth softshell family or maybe spiny softshell. any information would be greating apppriciated thanks, email me at elephantamber@msn.com

I really don't know much about softshell turtles. But you could always search online for that kind of information. And also, i would take them to a exotic pet doctor in the area to check up on their condition. If they're having any deficiencies. Though i should warn you it probably costs $40-$50 for an office visit per turtle, i believe. Well, hope the turtles are in good shape! Its always good to know people are doing their part in helping their animals!
