Ok I'm a teacher who has had a red-eared slider for about 4 years now, she's a hoot. She throws a temper tantrum when put back into her 20 gal long tank. She walks around classroom all day, she tends to follow me too. Quite funny. Anyways, this summer she needs to come to my home which is very small right now while we build our house. A friend is giving me a 55 gal. that I will turn into (hopefully with some advice here too) a viquarium. However, it must stay outside until the house is built. I can place it into the shade and have a lid for it to prevent critters from getting the turtles. I live in FLorida, will the heat be an issue with them being outside?
Also would like any suggestions or directions on setting up a viquarium for the 55 gal. Thanks
