Would you consider posting a page or two of photos of turtles afflicted with common illnesses? Especially shell diseases and abnormalities. I think it would be a great help to people who have noticed something different about their turtles, and are worried that something may be wrong. Definitely not proposing unskilled diagnosis vs. taking the little guys to the vet, but it would be a good start, and could help people identify real problems before they get out of hand.
Thanks!

im gonna try to take some pics from a local pet shop, they take care of these turtles or should i say, dont take care of them out of line....one has shell rot, one has an eye disease, one looks okay, one has shell rot and a shell growth disorder, i cant even think of the rest. amazingly, they sell turtles so fast..i think most people dont know how sick the turtles are

I think its a good idea to post the photos, also to let people know what to look for BEFORE buying a turtle or tortoise. I watched a program the other night called "Visiting...with Huell Howser". It was about a place called **Turtle Dreams**, right here in Southern California. It is a tortoise rescue center. The woman was talking about all the health problems the different tortoises had from malnutrition and physical abuse. It was fascinating, and informative. Its very important for people to know the dangers improper nutrition can cause for these little guys. Fortunately for the tortoises on the program, there was someone to look out for them, and give them a better life! peace ~ mj p.s. Hi Vladimer!

That is actually a very good idea. If we find any turtles with an illness, its get to take pictures for future reference and post them up.
