Its never seemed to get off the ground unfortunately. I had it set up as part of my rescue service, but I have had more luck in other areas.
My rescue service is shutting down for now anyway, due to lack of time and space (the softshell and Iguana are getting BIG). I have had an idea for a website I going to build though.
Basicly it would be a directory of People who wanted turtles, and people that have turtles they need homes for. The database would be able to find people near you who have what you are looking for / want what you have.
It would work better than classifieds because you would stay in the DBase until you removed yourself or somebody reported that you were no longer avaliable.
It would need a decent community on it though, so any help will be appreciated

I have an update on this:
Not sure if this is the same with US zip codes, but I wanted to use a post-code search so that you could go on and use a form to find all yellow-bellies within 40 miles of your home, but the mail force want loadsa money to use their database (it was a number followed by 3 zeros each year), so that has been scrapped. New plan is to have a kind of sectioned of thing, but for that I will need a number of mods to keep things in order.
Any volunteers? Also, any features you would like to see, post em here.

Also, any ideas for a good address? I could use www.turtlehomes.co.uk but I dont wanna go poaching on the .org and .com sites, its not really fair, so we would need something fairly memorable. Only one I have so far is www.turtlehotel.com???

I like your idea! Take a look at www.petfinder.comThey use zip codes to locate adoptable pets in the US. Also www.autotrader.com uses zip code to locate cars within a set distance from your own zip code. You need a name you say? What about www.homesforturtlesor www.homes4turtles or www.homes4turtsOr...HEY, this is a good one: www.turtlefinder.comI work with the local Turtle and Tortoise Club out her in Southern California (CTTC) and I work with dog rescue (www.akitabuddies.com) I see turtles in shelters everywhere I go, but that`s not the place for them do get adopted. I try to spread the word as best as I can, but If you get your site up and running it could be a good place to post info about those turtles in shelters. Good luck! PS. Did you ever find the title of that book you have with information about Snaknecks?
