I am getting a bigger tank for my turtles, and it'll be too big to be able to carry to the bathtub to change every week so I'll need to get a filter. does anyone have any suggestions on a brand that is really good? i dont know much about them. -thanks

Theres loads of debate over this, but I love fulval canister filters.
How big is the new tank?

It really depends on the size of the tank. But canister filters are always better. If your tank is going to be over 55 gallon, I would suggest a Filstar XP3, Fluval 404, or an eheim canister filter. These are all about $100, but the eheim are usually more expensive ($200+) but many people consider them to be the best.

I am getting a Fluval 404 for a slick 100$ next month brand new from a pet store that is a bit out of price gauging But When I get the new one does that mean I will no longer have to scrub the water deposits off the tank? And does that mean we won't have to clean it as often?

You'll probably still get water deposits but you won't need to clean the tank as much. Filters make life much easier. To make tank cleaning easier you might want to look at the Python No Spill Clean and Fill. It runs a hose from the tank to your sink to drain and refill it. Much easier than carrying it.
