Sorry Dianne, I didn't see your post.
Well, it's a WHOLE different world. I'm a Canadian Chinese and I thought I had a good handle on my heritage... not. I'm more Canadian and found how different I was from the locals. They see a Chinese guy, but by beliefs are Canadian. I had to learn a lot about the culture and beliefs. It's an eye opening experience and I could not have gotten by growing up in Canada. I have lived in Taiwan for four and half years. I got maried here and I plan on coming back to N.A., Canada in a couple of months.
Cheers, JJ

Flint, Michigan -- I have lived in Michigan my whole life.
Diane and Tigr Lady - you are not alone. I got my turtle from my daughter in college. She brought it home and I tried to get her to return it. She begged me to let her keep it, but I am the one who adopted it and learned how to take care of it. I now consider it my turtle, even though she is still living at home. She will not even touch him. She will be feeding him for a week soon when my husband and I fly off to sunny Cancun.
He is so used to being fed in the feeding dish. I hope her feeding him in the tank won't mess him or the tank up too badly in just a week. I'm planning to get some more fish to help eat the leftovers.
Mary

[glow=blue,2,300]Jenny - I know you know I really was just kidding. I actually meant mature as a code word for "older than dirt." I never would have guessed you were a teenager judging from your posts. Heck, you're more mature than I am.[/glow]
